1st Forres Scout Group Announces the End of Christmas Post Fundraiser

After more than 30 years of dedicated service, we regret to announce that 1st Forres Scout Group will no longer be running our annual Christmas Post fundraiser.

This decision has not been made lightly. Over the years, Forres has grown significantly, and with this expansion, the demand on our volunteers has also increased.

Our team remains committed to offering a vibrant and engaging Scouting experience, but balancing the Christmas Post with our other initiatives has become challenging.

Additionally, a decline in the tradition of sending Christmas cards has made this fundraiser less sustainable as a way to support our group’s activities.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the Christmas Post over the years. Your contributions—whether through volunteering, card deliveries, or donations—have made a lasting impact and helped us to deliver memorable experiences to young people in Forres.

While this marks the end of an era, it’s far from the end of our fundraising efforts. We are actively exploring new ways to fundraise and support Scouting in our community. Keep an eye out for announcements of upcoming events and initiatives designed to sustain 1st Forres Scout Group’s mission.
